NeuralTherm Scanner

Spinal evaluation technology, known as the InSight™ Spinal Scanning System was developed for astronauts and is now endorsed and used by chiropractic practitioners worldwide. This validated, evidence-based technology is used to identify unmanaged stress patterns in the muscles, joints and nerves.

This thermal scan is used to assess the part of your nervous system that helps control your organs, glands, and blood vessels.

The autonomic nervous system works alongside the spinal nerves to regulate your immunity while managing your internal organ functions. The instrument does this by precisely measuring differences in temperature along the spine. Temperature is an accurate indicator as to where stress is building up and how deeply it affects bodily functions. Each organ system relies on clear and balanced nerve signals to work efficiently. A significant difference in the temperature on each side of the spine could indicate a lack of autonomic responsiveness, an important indicator that something could be putting stress on one or more of your organs. Nerve interference that is detected by this sensors valuable in understanding and planning health and wellness strategies. This thermal scanner uses normative comparison and reporting based on data from the Journal of Neurosurgery, this represents an opportunity to establish a baseline for temperature differentials that can be referred to throughout the course of care.

The principles behind the NeuralTherm Scanner readings have been used among chiropractors and other wellness specialists for more than a century to monitor health and wellness. Thermal technology was first used for chiropractic care in 1924 by Dr. B.J. Palmer, since then, thermal readings have been repeatedly cited as an accurate way for chiropractors to gain actionable insight into each patient’s well-being and how it is influenced by chiropractic care. Thermography is just one of the channels through which our Insight system breaks new ground in reliable analytics when it comes to patient care.

Messages from the brain are delivered down the spinal cord and out to the many different areas of the body through various nerves along the spinal column.

These nerves control every single organ, gland, and tissue in our bodies. If our bodies have subluxations, or misalignments, these signals cannot transmit their signals as optimally or efficiently as possible.

This may lead to the appearance of a variety of symptoms, including, but certainly not limited to:

  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Colic
  • Anxiety
  • Vertigo
  • Reflux/GERD
  • Immune Deficiencies
  • Ear and Sinus Infections
  • Pain, Numbness, and Tingling
  • Stiff Neck and Shoulders
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Skin Conditions
  • Constipation
  • Bed Wetting
  • Leg Weakness and Cramping

Symptoms are our bodies way of alerting us to a problem, much like the ‘check engine’ light in our cars. Chiropractors are the only healthcare professionals that look directly at the cause of the symptom or problem and look to correct it through gentle and effective adjustments to the spine. By removing the nerve interference, caused by a subluxation, our body and brain are able to communicate most efficiently and effectively.

Take a look at a case we have had in our office:

The first scan is of a 3-week old named Julius, he presented to the office with severe reflux. So much so that he was choking on his frequently throughout the day. This scan was performed right before his very first adjustment. Notice the red area between his shoulder blades. This area is associated very strongly with stomach and esophageal discomfort, most commonly reflux and GERD.

This second scan was performed immediately following his adjustment. Notice the difference between the two! There is not more color between the shoulder blades, showing these areas are now functioning at a higher level.

These scans are an excellent tool that we use here at Family First to help us establish a baseline or starting point of your care. They are also used periodically through the course of your treatment to monitor progress and give us a snapshot of what your nervous system and body may be experiencing.

If you are interested in seeing what your scans look like we are offering FREE nerve scans through the month of March. Now is the time to see how chiropractic can help you and your loved ones!
